Reopening the Wormhole is a weekly podcast in which three Deep Space Nine obsessives tackle a randomly selected episode from the series and analyze all the things they love and hate about it. Each week, they'll try to determine the funniest lines out of context, deliver their very official review scores and much more! Make sure to stick around until the end, so you don't miss it when they spin the Dabo wheel to reveal next week's episode!

What sweet and strange irony it is to have our eighth-to-last episode be the second episode of Deep Space Nine! All the hours of discussing and dissecting Deep Space Nine has given us a very unique perspective on this early episode, and we are so thrilled to be talking about it for all of you! In the DS9’s first post-pilot episode, we see an old friend from Bajor coming to the station, and the first big test of Kira’s alliances in this new era. We are also introduced to fan favorite Garak in this episode, and he does NOT disappoint. There’s a lot to love here, not the least of which is the most blatant and obvious instance of Garak’s romantic interest in Bashir, and the densest Trek Check we have had and will ever had, including mini-discussions about the second episode of eight different Trek shows! There’s so much to unpack, and these three Garak fanatics unpack, rearrange, repack, and redistribute their thoughts in a glorious, high-energy beam of podcast euphoria! You’ll have a Tahna fun as we discuss Tahna Los! (P.S. stick around at the end for some exceptionally weird outtakes!)
