Reopening the Wormhole is a weekly podcast in which three Deep Space Nine obsessives tackle a randomly selected episode from the series and analyze all the things they love and hate about it. Each week, they'll try to determine the funniest lines out of context, deliver their very official review scores and much more! Make sure to stick around until the end, so you don't miss it when they spin the Dabo wheel to reveal next week's episode!

Deep Space Nine has never been hesitant to ask tough questions, both of its characters, and of its fans. This episode is no exception, as Sisko is forced to face his own status as Emissary, and decide between accepting a renegade Bajoran’s interpretation of an ancient prophecy, or obey his orders from Starfleet. DS9 and RTW fan Chris Madamba joins the team to discuss this significant episode. There’s a lot to unpack here, including some revelations about the way Kira views her position, and her boss (Sisko), a reverse-sexism plot, tired TV tropes and their origins, and the silliness of these sorts of prophecies and their interpretations. If June Gloom’s got you down, this boisterous discussion will be just the thing to put some pep in your step, and and some Yarka in your Parka. And with seven episodes left, the guys for some reason decided to change the theme song for one of their features on the fly. Which one? Listen to find out!
